SmartCare /PS is an option for the Evita Infinity V500 intensive care ventilator. The SmartCare /PS system is an automated clinical protocol, designed to stabilize the patient‘s spontaneous breathing in a comfortable zone of normal ventilation and to automatically reduce the ventilatory support.
Ventilation modes. The ventilator offers a range of conventional pressuremodes, CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure), PCV (pressure-controlledventilation), and S/T (spontaneous/timed). The volume-targeted AVAPS(average volume-assured pressure support) mode combines the attributes ofpressure-controlled and volume-targeted ventilation.
