The communication units for the GOT800 A870GOT series Touch screen panel front overlay and A77GOT series listed below require settings with rotary switches and others on the hardware. However, the communication units for the GOT1000 series do not have rotary switches and others, and settings with the drawing software or the utility are required. The communication modules and options for the GOT800 series and A77GOT series shown in the following list have no alternative GOT1000 series models. If you have difficulty to replace the A870GOT-EWS A870GOT-SWS A870GOT-TWS touch screen panel front overlay modules and options with the GOT1000 series, keep enough spares.
The connectors for the GOT800 A870GOT A870GOT-EWS A870GOT-SWS A870GOT-TWS touch glass front overlay series serial communication module (RS-232) and for the GOT1000 series serial communication port (RS-232) are the same type (9-pin D-sub (male), with inch screws). Answer:
(2) Using a screwdriver, remove the six securing screws from the back of the GOT.
When the screws have been removed, remove the case of the control circuit section from the case of the display module.
(3) Remove the six screws securing the display module in place.
When the screws have been removed, remove the display module from the case.
(4) Turn over the display module, and disconnect the backlight cable connectors from the display module connectors (in two places).
For the SNT type remove from two locations on the top and bottom of the display module, and for the TFT type remove from one location on the top of the display module.
Take the two backlights off of the display module.
For the SNT type remove two backlights form the top and bottom of the display module, and for the TFT type remove one backlight from the top of the display module.
(5) install the new backlights by reversing the above procedure, and fit the display module back into its case.
