Answering the demand for lightweight, plastic materials suitable for use in PDAs, GG1501 Touch Digitizer combines a Film-Film (F-F) touch panel with a plastic substrate. The electrodes are comprised of 0.1 - 0.2mm thick ITO-coated film. These adhere to a 1 - 2 mm thick plastic substrate. GG1501 Touch Panel adjusts the heat expansion coefficients of the polycarbonate material used in its touch panels, overcoming warping problems that can result when plastic is used instead of glass. In addition to being lightweight and fracture-resistant, polycarbonate can be shaped in any way imaginable, enabling design possibilities other than traditional rectangles or squares.
